K8055 - K8055 Commander

K8055 Commander

Project Description

Screenshot of the K8055 Commander programming environment

K8055 Commander is the name for a new project I have in mind. Basically it is supposed to become a successor for my Power WinPLC. Although I am not planning to make it as extensive as WinPLC it should be a good tool to create custom light computers.

Actually the K8055 commander will have a much better internal architecture than WinPLC. The WinPLC is been in development since 1997: my coding practices significantly improved over the years. Older parts of WinPLC are badly designed and are not easy to adapt.

K8055 commander gives me the chance to start all over from scratch. The base is already finished: adding new instructions can be done within minutes.

Progress

You can download a prototype version from this website to get an idea on its function. This version is very limited: even saving your program to disk has not been implemented yet.

You will probably notice the project hasn't been modified lately: the project is not high on my priority list. Please don't expect a stable working version before 2012.
